Call for Papers

Cappadocia University is pleased to announce Call for Papers for an Edited Volume on “A Common Horizon for Humanity and the Planet”, as a part of its global conversation project with the same title. (https://commonhorizon.kapadokya.edu.tr/en/)

We would like to address one of the most fundamental issues of contemporary philosophy in our edited volume: How can we build a common horizon for the future of the humanity and the planet. The edited volume is open to contributions from a variety of disciplines that concerns existing and future problems as well as future projections for humanity and the planet. The manuscripts should be in English, Turkish or Arabic, between 6000-8000 words and fully comply with the authors guidelines indicated on the website of Cappadocia Journal of Area Studies (CJAS).  (https://cjas.kapadokya.edu.tr/index.php/cjas)

The Edited Volume will be translated into Turkish and Arabic languages, and it will be sent to the leading universities, Think-Thanks and relevant institutions all around the world. Proposals for papers (c. 500 words), along with a proposed paper structure, should be sent directly to the project coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Şafak Oğuz (safak.oguz@kapadokya.edu.tr), by 30 March 2022. The deadline for final paper submissions will be 30 May 2022. Submitted papers will undergo a rigorous, double-blind peer-reviewing process. Papers which will not be eligible for the Edited Volume will be published in a Special Issue of Cappadocia Journal of Area Studies (CJAS) subject to another peer review.
