Social and Strategic Studies Application and Research Center was established on 21 November 2018. The purpose of its establishment is to contribute to the studies, researches and practices of Cappadocia University, especially the Department of Political Science and International Relations, and the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, and all other departments on social issues.

The Center conducts research that contributes to the determination of the country’s strategic priorities in areas such as foreign policy, security, economy, foreign trade, industry and agriculture and offers long-term policy recommendations for these priorities. Another aim of the center is to identify the main social, economic, demographic, cultural, educational and gender problems of the Cappadocia region, to produce new projects to solve these problems and to carry out field research studies.

The Center organizes academic meetings on the issues listed here and shares its results with the public on various platforms, especially periodicals and books.
