Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ankara

Ambassador Yousaf Junaid was born in Lahore, Pakistan. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore. Before joining the Commerce and Trade Group of the Central Superior Services of Pakistan, he served as a medical officer with the rank of Captain in the Pakistan Army. Since 1986, he has held various positions including Director General of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Manager of the Commercial Trading Corporation of Pakistan, Secretary General of the Ministry of Commerce, Chairman of the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, Commercial Secretary at Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, and at Pakistan’s Consulate General in Istanbul.

Since 2022, he has been serving as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Ankara. He is proficient in English, Urdu, Punjabi, and has basic knowledge of Turkish. Ambassador Junaid is a father of three children.
