Do we live in an age of uncertainty?

On Monday, March 28, at 1:00 PM, the ninth program of the seminar series “A Shared Vision for Humanity and the Planet,” to be broadcast live on the Kapadokya University YouTube channel, will feature Professor John Keane, a leading theorist on democracy, from the University of Sydney. Professor Keane, who has worked on Democracy and Representation, is the author of many books, including Whatever Happened to Democracy (2002), Global Civil Society (2003), Violence and Democracy (2004), The Life and Death of Democracy (2009), Democracy and Media Decadence (2013), Refiguring Democracy: The Spanish Political Laboratory (2017), and The New Despotism (2020). Several of his books, including Civil Society and the State, Media and Democracy, Violence and Democracy, and The New Despotism, have been translated into Turkish.

The moderator of the program, titled Are We Living in an Age of Uncertainty?, will be Professor Burak Özçetin from Bilgi University.
