On Tuesday, November 23rd at 19:00, the second session of the seminar series “A Shared Vision for Humanity and the Planet” will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of Cappadocia University. The guest speaker will be Professor Adom Getachew, a faculty member at the University of Chicago and one of the leading theorists in the history of political thought. Professor Getachew, who works on the history of political thought, race and empire theories, and post-colonial political theory, is the author of the widely translated book “Worldmaking After Empire: The Rise and Fall of Self-Determination.”
The program, titled “Empire and Decolonization in the 21st Century,” will be moderated by Professor Cemil Aydın, a faculty member in the History Department at the University of North Carolina.
