Contemporary Global Economic Crisis: a World-System Approach

On Tuesday, March 8th, at 19:00, the eighth program of the “A Shared Vision for Humanity and the Planet” seminar series, to be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of Kapadokya University, will feature Professor Ruslan Dzarasov, a faculty member at the Finance University of the Russian Federation Government, known for his work in political economy. Professor Dzarasov has conducted studies on Post-Keynesianism, globalization, center-periphery relations in the world economy, and growth and capital accumulation in the modern Russian economy. He is the author of several scholarly works, including The Conundrum of Russian Capitalism: The Post-Soviet Economy in the World System. The program, titled “The Ongoing Global Economic Crisis: A World-System Approach,” will be moderated by Professor Oktay Tanrısever, a faculty member at Middle East Technical University (METU).
